07:00 AM – Pickup from Moshi or Arusha

Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. The drive to Marangu takes approximately 40 minutes from Moshi, passing through picturesque rural landscapes, banana and coffee plantations, and offering glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days .

08:30 AM – Arrival at Marangu Gate

Upon arrival at Marangu Gate (1900m), the starting point for all Kilimanjaro treks via the Marangu Route, you will have the opportunity to take photographs of the mighty Kilimanjaro and absorb the spirit of the mountain .

09:00 AM – Village Hike and Coffee Tour

Begin your guided hike through the scenic Chagga village. The trek takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, winding through lush coffee and banana plantations . You will visit a small coffee farm where you will learn about how the coffee is grown, harvested, and processed locally . You will also get to try your hand at processing, roasting, and preparing a fresh cup of coffee .

10:30 AM – Waterfall Experience

Continue your trek to the spectacular Ndoro Waterfalls (also known as Marangu Waterfalls). The hike leads through a lush green landscape, and the descent takes approximately 1 hour . Upon arrival, you will be greeted by cascading waters plunging down rocky cliffs, forming a refreshing natural pool at its base . 12:30 PM – Chagga Underground Caves
